LAWLiS Legal
Marketplace Terms & Conditions
Version 2026-08 · Effective 28 August 2026
These Terms govern use of the LAWLiS powersport marketplace. LAWLiS provides marketplace technology through which Riders can discover products and offers supplied by independent approved Partners.
1. Marketplace role
LAWLiS operates the marketplace, account, catalogue, order and support infrastructure. Products are offered and fulfilled by the Partner identified with the relevant offer or order. Nothing in these Terms removes any right or responsibility that applicable law places on LAWLiS, a Partner or a Rider.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure and use LAWLiS lawfully. LAWLiS may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, marketplace integrity or breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law.
3. Product information, fitment and availability
LAWLiS aims to present accurate catalogue, fitment, price and availability information. Riders remain responsible for checking vehicle details and product suitability where confirmation is reasonably required. Partners are responsible for the accuracy of their offer, stock and fulfilment information.
4. Prices, orders and payment
The checkout price shown to the Rider is the marketplace selling price for the selected offer, with shipping shown separately where applicable. An order remains subject to successful checkout, availability and any payment confirmation required by the marketplace. Payment-provider wording will be updated when the production payment gateway is activated.
5. Shipping
For the current marketplace model, Partners arrange and manage shipping for their orders and provide tracking or delivery information through LAWLiS. Delivery estimates are estimates unless applicable law provides otherwise.
6. Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by the LAWLiS Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable consumer law. Marketplace rules cannot waive rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse LAWLiS, interfere with security, submit fraudulent information, infringe intellectual property, manipulate reviews or transactions, or use the marketplace for prohibited or unlawful products or conduct.
8. Liability and legal rights
Any limitation or allocation of liability in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes liability or consumer rights that may not legally be excluded.
9. Changes
LAWLiS may update these Terms as the marketplace develops. Material new versions may require renewed acceptance where appropriate. Acceptance is recorded against the applicable document version.
10. Governing framework
These Terms are intended to operate under South African law, including applicable consumer, electronic-transactions and data-protection requirements. Formal business, notice and dispute-resolution details will be finalised before public launch.
Pre-launch legal draft: Final attorney review is required before public launch.
